Third eye Blind Iowa City
While being on Third Eye Blinds street team, I received the opportunity to hang up and hand out promotional material at the Iowa City concert. So, I got a backstage pass, and got to party with them at an after party. It is always a big relief when your favorite band has genuinely awesome people in it. Great time. The next day was rough only getting 2 hours of sleep and going to work... good times

FREAKFEST
Freakfest was a blast. My cousin Mike, his girlfriend Dawn, my friend Erica and I went and enjoyed a great time together! I had to laugh. It got decently rowdy for a non metal or hardcore show. I saw a million hilarious costumes, and had a blast rocking out! Madison is always a good time :)

Halloween Party
So the Halloween Party was the start of my favorite weekend of this year. I got to party with a bunch of friends and family and be in costume :)... It was kind of my priming for the rest of the weekend. I think there was 100 people. the party went from 7 until 1. I ended up staying up all night though at an after set.

Third Eye Blind @ Riviera
They have been my favorite band since I was in 7th grade. I have now seen them on 4 occasions. I was a little disappointed, because the Riviera is bigger that what I was hoping for, and I wasn't right up front. But, the night totally redeemed itself when I got to meet the band! It usually isn’t that big of a deal to me to meet bands, but their music has influenced my life greatly. Words can't describe. :)

Mother's Day
Mother's Day was great. I was a little hung over, and had to wake up way too early for just going to a concert the night before. I guess I can't gripe too much. My Bro only got an hour of sleep, and quit drinking shortly before. My Mom was laughing her ass off.. she rocks.

The Kills @ metro
So, I went out the night before the show, so I got up late, and ended up getting there later than I wanted to... Luckily, it was only toward the end of the first band "the Magic Wands." Who were ok themselves. Then "the Horrors" went on; which surprised me by having some similar qualities to a band I like called "the Swirlies." AND THEN IT HAPPEND!!! THE KILLS CAME ON!! I went crazy. Yes, I have seen them before. But anytime I am seeing one of my favorite bands. I am gonig to dance my ass off; and usually run into a bunch of people. I was noticed by Alison and Jamie, because they pointed to me showing love to them and rocking out to their music. When it came time for the encore; I started screaming for them to play one of their older songs. When they finally come out:.. They played it!... I guess I'm not one for creative writing, but the show was beyond amazing!.. .

Music as a Weapon
So I just got back from Music As a Weapon in Peoria, and it ROCKED! I was glad that my sister FINALLY got to see Disturbed. This is the first time I saw Killswitch Engaged from a seated area. I might have fallen in love with their guitar player Adam. HAHAHA! I am pretty sure he is gay; as his masculine ass pranced and skipped around the stage in short shorts and tall socks. This was totally awesome; but caught me off guard for them being heavy metal, and me having seen them 3 or 4 times prior. Then, Disturbed was crazy sick as always... Now, I'll get to tone it down with some indie rock this weekend when I see the Kills at the metro :)
